These sesame snacks are not only energy dense & highly nutritious but they are also good for you from a Chinese Medicine point of view.
All of the main ingredients in these delicious balls nourish the yin, yang and blood of the body. In winter times when energetically everything moves within, it’s important to nourish our precious reserves.
The black colour and the ingredients’ properties help nourish our Kidney energy which is prominent at this time of year and therefore it’s important to take good care of it.
The aromatic and mildly warming spices support the digestion of the high nutrition content but also warm what we call the “middle burner” in Chinese medicine where our digestive fire is.
From a Western nutritional perspective, the combined ingredients are high in vitamin C, iron, protein, omega acids and antioxidants.
Enjoy without guilt! 😉
